1. Information We Collect

WorkToResume collects only the information necessary to convert your real work shifts and experiences into a professional resume:

Your answers to guided interview prompts, daily tasks, tools used, and notes.
Target job titles and optional pasted job descriptions (JDs).
Authentication details provided through our identity service (Clerk), including email address and user ID.
Transaction records and checkout references via Stripe. We do not store your raw credit card numbers or billing CVCs.

Your data is processed strictly to generate and host your resume documents:

Grounding AI generations into factual bullets without hallucinating degrees or metrics.
Facilitating continuous edits, version comparisons, and clean print/PDF exports.
Managing active quotas and entitlement periods without recurring billing traps.
Protecting service availability and preventing automated abuse.

We work with industry-standard, SOC-2 compliant vendors:

Clerk: Cloud identity, authentication, and secure session management.
Stripe: Payment processing for one-time checkout fees.
Google Gemini / AI Infrastructure: Encrypted API calls to synthesize structured bullets from your interview answers. Your inputs are not used for public model training.
Neon PostgreSQL: Encrypted, serverless database storage in US East.

We believe you should own your career history:

Unclaimed anonymous previews are automatically pruned after 24 hours.
Paid accounts retain resumes according to their purchased tier (weekly: 14 days, monthly: 60 days, lifetime: permanent).
You may request complete account and resume erasure at any time via your Account Dashboard or by contacting support@worktoresume.com. Deletions are processed within 30 days.
